How to Be Smokewise

Summer smoke is coming. Learn what you can do to prepare and maximize your health during this time:

  • How to prepare for smoke
  • How smoke impacts health
  • Understanding the AQI (Air Quality Index)
  • Helpful resources
  • Sign up for emergency alerts
  • Tips for improving indoor air quality
  • How to properly wear an N-95 respirator

Partners from Smokewise Ashland will provide a free N-95 mask and class materials. Please bring your mobile device if you would like to sign up for emergency alerts. Space is limited so sign up now!

Britt Orchestra Fellows Quartet
Tuesday, June 14, 7-8pm

Students from the Britt Education's James Collier Orchestral Fellowship Program will perform a quartet program. Join us for a lovely summer evening of music in beautiful Hunter Park at the Senior Center. Please bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, and refreshments for this event. *Concert moves inside if rain or smoke.*

Fieldtrip to Britt Festival Orchestra
Friday, June 17, 7-11pm*

The annual outing to The Britt is back! This year we’ll enjoy the Britt Festival Orchestra’s 60-year Anniversary Spectacular. The program includes “Everything Happens So Much” by Timo Andres, “The Empress Piano Concerto” featuring Sebastian Chang and “Symphony No. 3 (Eroica)” by Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Only 50 tickets available. Reserve your spot soon!

*Transportation provided: Bus leaves Ashland Senior Center at 7pm, returns around 11pm. Concert at 8pm. Please arrive a by 6:45 pm to ensure a timely bus departure. There is limited disabled access for the bus, bathrooms and event seating, so please plan accordingly or opt instead to attend the Fellows Quarter concert at Ashland Senior Center on June 14 (see above).
